The home of Strafe, the statistics library for Rust. Strafe is based upon the R programming language and seeks to reimplement all functionality it offers. The current focus is on the core R packages (Base, MASS, Stats, etc.) and widely-used mission-critical packages (like cars). The plan is to set up a strong foundation for statistics programming in Rust to remove inter-language boundaries and slow downs in Python and R packages, foster a statistical programmin community in Rust by pulling in the best R packages, provide statistics functionality to performance-bound applications and obscure targets like micro controllers, and leverage Rust’s famed memory safety, strong typing, and fearless concurrency to push the boundaries of the current statistics programming community.
